Ashleigh Gentle celebrated a remarkable milestone on Sunday, securing her 10th consecutive victory at the Noosa Triathlon, further enchanting the home crowd with her stellar performance.
At 33, Gentle demonstrated that she still possesses the speed to excel in the traditional Olympic distance triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run). Her triumph at Noosa marks her 11th overall victory in this iconic event.
Brayden Mercer made a striking debut at Noosa, clinching the victory with an impressive lead of more than 30 seconds over New Zealand’s Tayler Reid, while former champion Luke Willian secured third.
